Past couple days I been giving the "old Poulans" a chance to shine, and they did just great. I think they like the cooler weather, like me. Big swamp White Oak, that died last year. Were a few leaves on the trunk this spring, but didn't last long. I measured the main log to the first crotch at 45'.
I cut the top with PP380 and 3000. Then used the 4200 on some of the bigger upper parts, then today used the 5200. I swear it runs better the more I run it. Was gonna film some, but my old camera batt. said no. So ordered one of those. Have another one of these to do in couple weeks.
The log was 30" at bottom and 19" at first crotch. Lotta wood in that, heavy too. Love them old green saws!!!
