Nice cars, but the coupe wouldn't last very long on the road I live on. A four wheel drive is what you need in southern Indiana, that's how our state was able to save so much money.

Yeah, your man Mitch needs his butt kicked.. The roads are no better in this northern part of the state either. I just today had to change out a bent rim on my Taurus.

Only when I'm on the racetrack or my wife is driving. Although it seems to me like pick up trucks in Indiana didn't get equipped with turn signals and have 45mph speed limiters installed.

Nick

Those are only the ILL PU's once they get of the express ways in IN.

Sorry to keep busting your chops, I cant help it, I'm working with a bunch of ILL guys right now and we bust em everyday....

Dang, I clicked on this thread and could have sworn it was some kind of light in the pants car thread with all them furrin cars. Real men (Poulan Men) drive trucks and leave those artsy fartsy cars to the wimmin folk.

Now get this back on track......

Make mine a Super Duty will ya? Oh wait, I already did!

I can haul alot of Poulans in it. (and do)

Sorry guys....my bad.

I just like horsepower, regardless of the badge on the front or back. I said this in another thread....I would gladly strap into a Top Fuel Funnycar or a Formula 1 car and scare myself to death.

Not everybody that drives one puts huge wheels on them. Some just need a 4 door vehicle that they can tow a trailer with or throw a set of wheels/ an engine in the back of but don't need a full size truck bed all the time. Its that or a station wagon......but then there's no towing.

My cars are all german:)

I Love Benz.... I guess since I'm 95% kraut, It's in my blood.

My truck is made in Japan, BUT.... I'm stickin a German motor in it. I actually have an 83 300SD in my driveway right now that my old buddy wants me to buy. It's freakin rockin.

As for poulan content, I'm getting ready to cut down a few 26" plus Oaks with the ole 3800. Pics to follow.

Actually, I said that jokingly, I don't like it any better than you do...and I just found out at the tire store that I have a bent rim on my S-10, I thought it was just a tire out of balance. I can't remember to put the LOL in my sentences!

I do miss my '84 300 SDL.

The Shiek-mobile! That's a tank of a car, and it s### and git pretty damn good for such a small motor in a heavy car. I don't care who you are, you have got to love a car that came with little wedges for rear seat foot rests.

Sorry I started a small war here. I didn't mean to do that. I was just trying to inject some humor into the thread a little. I could apologize for my passion for the European cars, but the only reason I can afford to buy saws and such is because I happen to be good at fixing them(and the customers, sometimes). If it helps me at all, my first car was a 1966 Mustang(which I still have), and I owned GM trucks until I bought my car. The only reason I sold my truck is because I never in a million years expected to buy a house out in the country ever again. So, I blame my wife for my CAD now. My next vehicle will be more utilitarian. The car just doesn't cut it when I need to get 40 2x8s for the fence(although I could fold down the seats of my wife's car and fit them all in).

Back to saws......I got a Timberline chain sharpener in the mail today, and I have to go pick up the crank seal for my 4000 tomorrow so I can cut some sh## down.

OK, that's my next soft spot. Good old American military planes, well, any aircraft for that matter. I spent a good portion of my childhood around an airport.

No offense to the Beeemer & Benz drivers out there, but I prefer American "stuff".:msp_thumbup:

Gregg,

If you won't offend them, I will. What's the difference in a benz, bmw and a rose bush? With the rose bush the pricks are on the outside.

If you won't take your escalade to haul wood it don't qualify as a "real" truck. I mean haul wood where you will get scratches and subject to get stuck and have to winch out, that kind of wood hauling.

IF I wanted a sedan...

I think I would want one of those old diesel mercedes. The plain ones, no turbo (maybe) good mileage, etc. I don't care about it being fast as long and it could go the double nickle on the highway, and you could still get parts, and it fell into the cheap range, as mercedes go.

Which one should I get for most reliable, least hassles, best mileage? Well, considering the trunk would be full of poulan saws...until it was cut up and turned into a mercedeselchero pickup...
