60cc 3450

I purchased a 3450 parts saw on E-bay a couple days ago for $61 plus shipping. ( others on here were probably watching it )

I got it today (UPS red ) . Sitting on the porch so I grabed it & went to the shop in the rain because I wanted to look at the piston as the muffler had already been taken off. One little score mark on the piston but it turns over.

Here are the numbers: 2000US EPA PH1 XPWES .0605 CS EM 60cc 00088D 300813-3

Does that mean it is a type 3 ?

Hello fellers......It's great to be back home.

DSS, I like the Counter Vib......first one I've seen with a brake.

Canuckistan model. The CVA is missing the handle.

I didn't know there were any 38 cc micros, and now I got two of them. These green saws confuse me.:)

Silly cow. The well armed chimp is refering to the green S25-CVA, not the Canuck-spec Micro that's missing the brake handle...:D

I think I'm going to have to break down and get one of those NOS CB type XXV series clutch covers from Bryce on feebay (and pay more than what I have in the whole saw). One of the places I cut at requires chainbrakes on the saws. Do you ever come accross those CB type clutch covers for these Poulan XXV (or Micro) saws in Canuckistan (other than the one on your saw there)?

While I'm asking......do you happen to have any E-Z (XL-1 or XL-Mini for you I guess) and/or XL-101 series CB type clutch covers that you'd part with? PM a southwestern brother ifya do.....

It's really amazing how many different private label and rebadged Poulan saws have been produced. Those fellows in Shreveport were some shrewd businessmen.

Yes, it is 60cc as the tag says, same as 3750 otherwise it would be 54cc.

Hey,
Lots of the Micros here have chainbrakes. We followed the Canadians with legislation a long time ago. The AV system weighs as much as the saw!

Geeze, we have chainbrakes on everything.

Hey, welcome back Randy - hope your soul is cleansed.:msp_biggrin: I personally use Suzanne's blackberry pie and King Island double cream to purify my spirit. Works just fine on the tummy too.

Picked this up today for $25

A local small engine shop had it sitting in the parts saw room......Now I need 2 flywheels for a 361:msp_angry:

Looks to be all original. Starter dog springs are bad, and missing one dog.

Can you just replace the dogs? Just askin'

Actually, one just needs a spring. The one, I just got, needs both springs, one dog, and a stud. Haven't been able to locate a spring (except for the one I ordered from that Calvin guy, and he would never ship out, had to get Paypal to issue a refund) so I figured it'd be just as easy to look for the whole flywheel. 361 parts hardly ever show up on ebay, either........:dizzy:

That flywheel looks identical to an XL-12 flywheel. My guess is that XL-12/SXL springs, pawls, and pivot studs would work fine on your flywheels. Do your flywheels have "Wicco" or "Phelon" cast onto them?

Can anyone

Here identify this saw? It's one of a bunch I inherited, but the flywheel cover is obviously from a different model.
The decal says Beaird-Poulan Model 25D. It's a manual oiler, has a Tillotson carb, and casting # 28213 on the
crankcase, and 23M on the cylinder barrel. After I cleaned it up a bit, flushed all the gunk out of the gas tank,
and gave it a little shot of fuel in the carb, it lit on the 3rd pull. It seemed kinda doggy and wouldn't idle, so I
checked the carb. Both H and L were around 2-1/2 open, so I set them at 1-1/4. It settled right down.

I have another, similar, unit with the same "lighter" color paint as is on the flywheel cover on this one. I'll post it
up later and maybe someone can identify it as well.

Anyone have a clue as to what this model is? Thanks in advance.

First two run good. Third one is a micro that says 38 CC's. I thought they were all 32 ish? And the skilsaw only seems to have one a/v buffer. So what models are the last two anyway?

I have seven of these little poulans in various colors now.:msp_thumbup:

Hey Cow :)

I'm near positive that your Skil branded saw is a 2.0 cube model 1618 I have one here that is identical.....I had a super clean 1634 that i gave to an old fellow yesterday...It had the larger anti-vibe set-up and was a 2.3 cube.

I'm with Aaron. Post pictures of what you do have so we can compare it to other saws using the ratchet starter. Lots of Homies, Lombards etc. use the same starter dogs and we got leftovers.

I have lots of XL-101 starter bits.

You got it Carl.

This afternoon I've been slowly working through a fellow's LONG list of NOS Homelite parts that he has for sale. A few minutes ago I happened upon Homelite #58756 in that list. In his part description he states that it's the same as Poulan #4267. I looked in the Poulan 361 IPL just now, and that is indeed the right Poulan part number. I've got a buncha Homelite XL-12/SXL parts saws and can hook up our friend if he can't get it elsewhere....
