Does anyone have a 245 manual oiling saw? I need to get pics of the decals. The saw, I'm working on, is just a 245...not an automatic.

Roanoaker/Johnnie had manual oiler 245, he might could help with the decal....

Greetings,

Does anyone know where I can obtain or purchase one (1) screw for an insolator spring for the Poulan Pro 4218AVX? I am looking to purchase it and it does not have to be new. The screw part number from the IPL is: 530016443. I am also willing to pay a reasonable price, but I refuse to pay $6.00-$8.00 postage. Thanks, Islero

PS The rebuild has gone well, but that is for another time. Again thanks!!

Try the swap meet maybe? http://www.arboristsite.com/stickies/80509-1302.htm Or order from a local dealer....

I know this should be in the swap meet but I figure I'd get a better response here who wants to trade my 3300 and 4620 for a 4200 or bigger might consider a 4000 if it's in real good condition they both run and oil as they should I just need a bigger saw

I got a box today.

Looks like Momma Poulan needs to remove the amniotic sac.

Mother and Father are doing fine. I wish it wasn't so damn hot so I could run it.

Heyy it made it! looks like someone kicked the hell out ouf the box on the way! Have fun with it and if you have any trouble, like I said, let me know.

It's that "I've gotta be winning" thing.
Some people just can't stand to not be winning the bid.

Same thing goes for that deal at live auctions where you buy choice and they sell the rest at that same price.
I've seen people go berserk and get in a bidding war on something that is part of a lot of the exact same item and it brings an astronomical price, the high bidder chooses one and the next high bidder gets one and when no one else wants one at those prices the auctioneer will sell the remainder again for 1/10th the first winning bid.
Then the first two bidderes get mad at everyone who buys at the cheaper price.:dizzy:

Oh well, that is why they call it an auction.

One bid (Steves) and something like 37 watchers.

S25 excessive bar oil.

I've been working on repairing Poulan S25-CVA-38CCM Super XXV for my dad. I found that the oil line that goes from the tank to the pump assembly was totally rotted and collapsed. So I replaced the line, the pump body gasket and the pump body cover gasket. The diaphragm ass'y seemed to be fine, no tears or holes. The diaphragm spring is springy. Cleaned up the oil-pickup weight. I think the oil pump intake valve is okay (though I'm not 100% sure), the ball inside has spring retention and only seems to let air move one direction when blowing through it.
So now when it runs it is constantly allowing oil to flow to the chain bar. Makes quite a mess.

Any suggestions?

A lot of those "watchers" are people who have no intention on bidding on your item, they possibly have one of their own and want to see what they sell for and others are snipers hoping to get a great saw for under $20 or so. I've done that on parts saws, but by the time you figure in their shipping it doesn't take long to get past the price I could pay for the saw.

So I got some saws on the weekend....

First two run good. Third one is a micro that says 38 CC's. I thought they were all 32 ish? And the skilsaw only seems to have one a/v buffer. So what models are the last two anyway?

I have seven of these little poulans in various colors now.:msp_thumbup:

The Skil branded saw should be a 2300AV and the Mastercraft is a 2300 CVA. Both at 38cc. Two of the best Micro versions.

I'm still trying to figure out where all of the oil came from. :poke: :hmm3grin2orange:

I kept waiting for it to take off and it obviously never did. But I'm happy.

Now, if it would just cool off enough so I can run it.
