Ok Mark, you sparked it ...

It is alleged that the source of the term 'Hoosier' ..... Back in the frontier days, the folks of the Indiana territory were known to be tough, rough and tumble type folks .... then one day, there was an especially rough fight in a bar room ... after all had settled down, someone found an ear on the floor ... and announced "Whose ear?"

... and "Hoosier Daddy" was actually an Indiana charitable organization ....
