well, i've had good results with the Windsor Speed Tip.

like Red Mountain Wine. cheap & it gets the job done.

I run Total bars, they are made by Tsumara. The Carlton Premium sprocket tip bars on clearance are the same bars with a differant logo. I haven't ran one longer than 24", but a 24" oregon is probably 1/2 to one pound lighter than the Tsumara. The weight might be an issue on a long bar. I found them because those are the bars that the local loggers run and seem to last. There is a pic in the shotgun muffler mod thread of the first total bar I bought. It had about 30 face cord on it in that pic and still looked new.. Who knows how much more I have on it, but I have only dressed it minimal times. I'll probably never buy another oregon bar again. If you run across a total bar that is painted....That is an old version made by BG.

I don't have much else to add, I have never ran the arborist pro bars or the Woodsman pro.

I've been using a couple of different closeout carlton bars and they are doing fine. Hard to beat for the money if you can find one to fit your saw in the length you want.

yep i just knew i was gonna find one at baileys cheap....but they didnt have any bars for any of my saws:dizzy:

for the money the oregon pro lites get my vote they are not a solid construction bar and no interchangeable tips but they save you like 2 pounds on 24 and up and last for a long time not the cheapest but I love mine.

Really like the Tsumara (Carlton, Total) bars. I also like the Windsor Speed Tip. Both have held up better than expected. Both have plenty of room for rail dressing. The tip on one of the Windsor bars loosened up but was able to be repaired with new rivets. I do not like Oregon bars as much, do not seem as solid. I have had many more tip issues with Oregon bars.

Don't buy anything that has a oregon tip. They are the most failure prone part of a oregon bar, otherwise they are a decent bar. I love the windsor bars, but I haven't tried the GB bars or the carlton bars.

I really haven't had problems with any brand of bar but I will agree that the Oregon Pro-lites are great performers and I have been very pleased with the 34" Carlton Premium bar I run on my stumping saw.
