I used the double bowline knot to tie to. I really like that knot, but I just read about that bowline bight and that looks pretty good too.

That blue streak rope is a pleasure to work with compared to the 3/4 junk I was using before. Its so much lighter and feeds through the branches easier. So much easier to tie knots. I'm sold.

I tried to get a pic of the hinge before the back cut but the batteries went dead in the camera. I did a much better job this time though. Only 1/3 the way through, and the angles met perfectly. Once I clear out the tree, I'll take more pics.

I got up much higher on the tree since the others were out of the way, although I really need to buy a throwline and a bag. Its only a matter of time before that piece of angle iron that I've been throwing cracks me in the head.

Oh well, thanks again for all the help which made this a lot easier.
