I think that if you have a good dealer around you could get a good deal on a used saw 026, 028, 029 If you are going to use the bigger saw the weight shouldnt be a problem.

Opps, brain fart.... yes, thinking 028. Too much home brew (Thanks Tim!). Yes, the 280 is slightly better the 260, but the 260 really doesn't have a AV problem, other than in some climates maybe too soft.

I don't consider the 270/280 to have anything radical in term of AV. I've used the 270 and it's "o.k., but... All they did was replace the top left buffer with a spring. The rest (3) are rubber.

On the other hand, the AV system used in the 361 is a major improvement.
