Is the new oregon super 20 chain out yet? And what are your oppinions?
Oregon says it cuts faster than 33 lg! It supposed to be the fastest .325 chain, and they have a version for abrasive conditions too(thats for me)

OUT YET?????

I Have been selling this chain since it debuted say about 10+ years ago its nothing new but it cuts like he**. Try it I'm sure you will like it and BTW you can get rid of those pesky 4.5mm files and use the 3/16 instead. I don't know why most dealers and end users have been stuck on that da*n series 30 the tooth was so small it took nothing to dull the cutter.

10 years huh? I was just cruising oregon site and that stuff came up, they said it was new and bailey's doesn't have it so I figured it was something that just came out! Damn...guess I'm ebarrassed:welcome:

I have heard that Oregon are discontinuing the "low-profile" 30-series chain (LG and SL).

If it is true, it is probably a good desition, as long as we have the Super 20(LP) and 95VP to choose from.:D
The 30-series has sometimes been bad for Oregons reputation in comparisons between chain brands......

The advertising features and benefits sheet for super 20 was updated and posted to the OREGON website. I checked to make sure it did not say new, and it didn't. But the flashy new advertising design can make you think it's a new product.

I'm not sure who you talked to here but, the 20 series chain with the chisel tooth has been around at least 20 years that I'm aware of and we've always carried it. It runs $0.22 per drive link. We've always kept small quantities in stock because the 30 series was more popular. I would imagine we'll start stocking more in the future.

When will it be on the web site? I'd like to have couple loops to try. I didn't talk to anyone with bailey's concerning this chain, it's not in my catalog or on the site, so I just assumed.....my bad!

From what I was just heard the 20 series is going to be available on phone sales only. Maybe with a larger demand we might eventually run it on the website. We're going to try and move towards 20RC,28RC, and 23RC Woodsman Pro as a replacement for the 33LG,34LG, and 35LG Oregon brand.
