Oulan Super25DA

I was gifted one....all good except the ignition coil....which seems to be out of stock where I've looked. Given that (at least I think) a number of Craftsman saws were sourced from Poulan, and the number of very similar motors of that size out there, perhaps there's one that isn't specifically a "25DA" coil that would work....though I'd ask here and see if anyone has tried this...or tried a match in Chinese parts....TIA

That would be a Poulan S25DA. As many of those saws that were made, there have to be coils out there. Try posting in the chainsaw forum or putting a want ad up in the trading post. Does that saw have points? That's what I would check first. Poulans of that era don't have a reputation for bad coils.
