never really think about it..:frown:..been lucky to have never lost power for more than an hour or two..:smile2: I'm probably jinxed now..I have thought about it in the past. I have two Honda generators. It won't be pretty, but if i had to, I could plug the one directly into back of OWB,,and set the other gen. out back, run a cord, and do the same for the L.P. 90+ in the house. that way I could at least keep OWB going and circulate the heat thru the house. I've got camping gear to cook with and lanterns/candles (better plug in the co2 detector) i suppose..wood stove in garage...It will probably get ugly, but I think I could pull it off...

The $300 propane bill for 4 days really is not bad if you think about it.It was run 24/7 for 4 days so that is 96 hrs and that would have to be a gallon per hr at bare min for a 17k generator. At $3/gallon there goes your $300 bill.Whereas an individual generator can be shut off and on as needed.I have a 1000 watt honda for a couple of lights and the TV and the bigger one gets turned on as needed.I want another small one so that it can keep the water circulated and not boiler over the OWB. But also on the other hand you need to be electrically minded to backfeed, know what you can put on the circuit etc. If you can afford a 17k auto generator you can afford to run it ,plain and simple.
