This came out OK. Gray sleeve was gashed up so figured to experiment. Did the same to my cushman cart steering bar a couple years back and it has held with not a bit of loosening so figure this should as well. And always handy to have access to several feet of cord in a pinch.1739749796009-554658398.jpg
 
I like it! Please explain how you go about starting the wrap, proceeding along the bar, and finishing it off. Or if 'splaining it takes too much, could you post a link to the technique?
And, that firearm over in the corner...it seems to have a German style cheekpiece, a capped pistol grip, maybe double triggers, and possibly other characteristics of continental shotguns and drillings.
 
I'll post link tomorrow but on YouTube look up Turks head paracord wrap. Orange wrapped walking stick describes technique.

Rifle is a Husqvarna sporter 30-06. Needs reblued and stock refinished. But for $200 it had to come home. Project for another day.
