Part number issues

Heres my problem, I'm building an 066, and when I come across parts, the numbers never seem to match the numbers in my 066 parts book. For example, I found an ignition system for an 064/066. Its part number is 1122 400 1300. So I look in my book, and as usual the part numbers in the book end in 1314 for the newer ignition, and 1307 for the previous model. What gives?! I have yet to find matching part numbers between parts that I am interested in, and the numbers printed in the book. Is there something I am missing, some secret code that I need to decipher? Please help, I don't want to buy parts that I cant use, or pass on parts that are the right ones.

The IPL shows the current REPLACMENT part, sometimes a prior model, but not all the variations on the past.

The 066 the tech notes tell you most of the variations, but not all. You must be careful to match flywheels with coils.
