I think I need to order some base seals, gasket and a carb boot to try and eliminate an air leak that my DCS-6401 has developed.

We have a really crappy Dolmar dealer here who has absolutely no information on these saws and if somebody could point me to some site or list of parets diagrams where I could get P/N's for the parts I need, I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm really disappointed with the fact that I haven't been able to get this saw running since I bought it used 3 months ago, I really want to wind it up and try it out!

The sad part about all of this is that I had the two .pdf's already saved to my computer... oh my, totally forgot.

Is there anywhere that I can order Dolmar/Makita parts from online? My local dealer is retarded, I have alctually never seen a saw there in either color and they have nobody that actually deals in power equipment.

Any good Canadian dealers you guys can recommend?

Labrador, but I will gladly deal with somebody out of province, they just need to know how to use the post office and accept Visa!

Not to step on anyones toes but we have the parts you need right in stock. We accept Paypal and can ship USPS to you like the parts I sent you before.

Cuttinscott, you're the farking man.

I received the parts this past Friday, 26 January all in good order. that's the fastest time I have ever received parts from any dealership in USA or Canada through the mail!

With service like that on hand, I run the risk of buying a 5100 too !!!

Actually the parts should of been there a couple days earlier but we had a ice storm & power outages that delayed them a little.

So did you get the saw running?

Looks like the carb was the culprit. Swapped it out this evening and made a few L screw adjustments and the low end bog disappeared in a hurry; it now revs nice and quick off idle... sweet.

I will try it on some big stuff this coming weekend to see how it performs under load, looks promising so far.

Thanks again for all your help and keep an eye out for a good used 5100 for me.
