OK guy's I see alot of you have collections of pics that you are always posting,so who actually has the biggest collection??I know John's got his video clips on his site which are pretty cool to look at.Why don't some of you post links to your albums so we can check out all your pics and such, what do you think??

Later Rob....

rob, i got some good pics of a small pine i took down this evening. got bored, had to play:D i'll post them as soon as my girlfriend gets here. she's the one who is somewhat technologicly gifted.lol.

Here's a removal I did 3 weeks ago. I took one pic after the first tank of fuel in my climbing saw, second pic is after the second tank of fuel.

Here's after two tanks of fuel. Landing area was about 10'X12' and I took the limbs from over the power lines before the first pic. I double-crotched the handline and lowered limbs with the closest end of the rope, so I actually had two landing zones.

The guys showed up at 9AM, I was done with the stump cut before 2PM.

the pics were to big to post, can you/how do you shrink them down:confused:

Brian,

Good pics looks like a fun removal for ya:D

Ryan,

I don't have any idea about sizing pics, but there must be someone here that does...

brian gave me some ideas, if i can't figure it out i'll email them to him and he'll resize them and i'll postem that way

ya'll would have gotten a GOOD laugh outta what i saw while working to day. while removing a pine in a front yard i saw one of the customers neighbors getting ready to cut down some pines in his front yard so i went over and asked if he would like us to drop them for him and he said no that he and his to son's would take care of it. the oldest of his son's was probably 12 and the other couldn't have been more than 10. so anyway he getts out his step ladder and proceeds to tie his rope to the tree at a hight of 8' or so and places his notch, has both kids pulling away at the 30' rope:( and lays the tree right across both his mailbox and his harley:laugh: so then his wife comes out and looks at what he has done and asks if he checked the mail!!

Yeah, using a 30' rope tied 8' high will give you plenty of leverage.
Good thing it hit his Harley instead of his kids. If it was 18" DBH it had to be more than 30' high. If it had followed the rope, it could have landed on his sons. :( Looks like God decided his kids were more important than the bike!

taught him a lesson any way made the $200 we quoted him to lay 3 trees down look cheap! i would say the tree was 80-85' tall, ya he should have gotten the wife to help, then they would have had plenty of leverage.lol.:D

DBH = Diameter at Breast Height. About 4' off the ground. This was chosen as a standard tree sizing measurement because root flares can extend up a couple feet and could greatly skew measurements when comparing trees.
