Because The Stihl Instant rebate Checks or whatever there called came saturday for 50.00 off and the dealer is running a 10% off thru the end of the week i decided to go ahead and pick up a new MS200T today. I think the Total came to like 420.00
:D The Dealer told me no one else in this area still runs a 200 because of the cost.I cant imagine doing tree work without one!

I picked a new one a couple months ago and it hasn't ran right from day one. I thought maybe just had to break it in a little. Seems like I'd have to break it pretty good before it gets taken to the shop. It seems like its running out of gas and always reving up and shutting off. Then you have to choke it to get it sarted again. It sucks but hay its new!

John, I had one like that once Took it back and they Made an adjustment on it and it ran Perfect from then on.:blob2:

I wish I could make that decision. My boss may have made that adjustment for me and said what more can I do its a bran new saw. I think it may run worse than my old saw just doesn't leak fuel so thats good. I rather not get dirty.

That sucks, John. I use mine maybe once or twice a month, and she runs like gangbusters. Get that carb tweaked, screw yur boss.

yeah I may have to take it out on Saturday maybe set up an appointment and get it adjusted. I think it may be a small crack in the fuel line.

There's an inherent microscopic leak in the fuel line...at least that's what's been the matter here on two new 020's (can't get used to the new number model).

The dealer fixed 'em both for free.

DDM, how did you get the instant rebate check?

Its a Program that the My Dealer participates in with stihl. Its only good at that Dealer
Usually in the spring i get a 25.00 Check Valid for purchases of 199.00 or more and in the fall 50.00 for 299.00 or more purchase.:blob2:

Let the saw breath a little easier.

If the saw doesn't run right, just unscrew that torx screw on the muffler. Take out that spark arrestor screen (that always gets clogged), and throw it away!

Voila !

If the spark arrestor is all clogged up, the saw is running way to rich, either the mix is off or improper carb setting or leaking piston rings.
