Doesnt take long to become very good at sharpening once the mill is running. I have had may fair share of Saturday night 1200 links to do.

On these pine we have been running two chains for seven boards, one log was over 11 feet and the last was just under 12 feet.

Ya know, I prefer to stop the mill from running before sharpening :)

I've got my sharpening set up and my inside manual splitting set up in the same "area" as one of my computers and my basement rec room. I like watching "Saturday Night Live" while splitting wood or running my chain grinder. Other people know I'm weird, especially when they see me hand sharpening a chain while watching late night news.
My mother used to knit while watching TV, I sharpen chain.

Smokin; even though I'm milling pine and u mostly hardwood how many times would you stop on a twelve foot run so the chainsaw gets a break?

bw

12 ft run I would stop and idle couple times. If your smelling french frys its good time! lol
