Pioneer 1074 Wont start

If you have set the correct gap between the coil and the flywheel, connected the new module correctly and disconnected everything else including the ignition switch, then the only thing left is the coil. Make sure the spark plug cap is actually making contact with the wire inside the lead from the coil. Using an ohm meter you should get continuity between the cap and the coil ground.
 
There may have been felt glued on the cover where the crankshaft goes through. The IPL shows item 120 which would be a felt seal behind the cover on the post that held the cover on. The breaker points when fully open should be set at .015 in gap according to acresinternet on the 1074.
The felt piece is there to wipe the cam . I just read up on it as I'm having trouble with my p1074 . I tried the magneto from my p40 and just held it in place while cranking over the engine with a drill and I had spark so I know that's what it is but try to find the part is a whole nother story . Lol and I know my methods of doing things are kinda unorthodox lmao but hey , it works .
