Brendon,
All chains I saw were marked Pioneer. I didn't take the time to measure pitch but I think it was smaller. I can't believe most of the clutch drums weren't Pioneer. That's too bad. I'm pretty sure there are some more air filters in the final box. Lots of odds and sods. I'm hoping there's an amazing find that I overlooked!!

Ed, I received about two-thirds of the parts today. It was mostly Pioneer but a fair bit of other stuff as well. I posted on the Poulan thread to get rid of some of the XXV parts. There were four new cylinders, a 1200A, a P38, a P42 and a P51 jug. There is a P62 piston and a P12 piston but the others were for other makes and have no numbers. There's about twenty .404 rim sprockets, and an ignition for a P50 (a good backup for mine), an electronic coil for a P26E, some mixed air filters (nothing for the small P-series), oil caps, a P40 muffler, starter handles, 20 clutch drums (mostly non-Pioneer), a flywheel, a few gaskets, pulleys and some hardware. I didn't get the screws I was looking for yet. There was a rubber air filter boot, two plastic brake handles, spikes for a P40, and plastic pulley bushings. One thing I was happy about was a bag of bar nuts for the big P-series, the ones with the shoulder on them. Another thing was three brake bands for P-series. They cost $40 new if you can find them.
Overall, I got a heck of a deal on this stuff and I can't wait for the last box to get here. It's over 40 lbs. and has a parts 1074 in it and should have some chains as well. I'll post an update later.

Contact your Husqvarna dealer. They had rings for my P41 when I checked a while back. Not cheap though.

Congratulations on the P61, it looks like a nice one! I'm glad you could find it there, I know there was a good dealer network in Australia but I didn't think Pioneers were that popular in NZ. I'm sure you'll have it running soon, the rings are still available. Does it have spark? Those ignitions are quite reliable.

Thanks on a previous post is a aussie 650? i think saw, with a pioneer austrailia stamp on it?
We never got those ones
We got canadian made ones here There is heaps of 600 series saws here Everyone had one i think,
Parts are hard to get now for the P series saw Very hard thats why they arent very common

I think the past ubiquity of Canadian-made and designed saws - IEL, Pioneer, PM-Canadien etc. - in Australia / NZ has to do with the fact that all are British Commonwealth members. Not such a big deal now, but much more important in the 50s-60s as far as trade and immigration were concerned.

1958 Model RA

Here are a couple pics of my RA that my grandfather bought new. I need the lower clamp for the "foot" bracket.

Congratulations! I know you have been looking for a long time now. It looks like a good one. I think it needs a full wrap though! LOL

Your RA is in really sweet shape and the family connection part is something I can relate to also, my collection started out from family saws passed on to me.
