PP655 fuel cap

Anyone knows what goes inside the fuel cap to keep fuel from spilling out of the vent hole when the saw is tipped on its side? Only thing I see is a mesh or fabric type covering in the interior of the cap which doesn't stop the fuel from spilling. What am I missing that will stop fuel spills but still allow tank venting?
Bob

Fuel cap on the 655 is made up of 8 pieces. The cap itself, then #42 is the screen like piece furtherest up inside the cap,#43 is the seal ring for#44 which is the disc that holds the umbrella seal/vent,#45 is the umbrella seal,# 46 is the retainer ring,# 47 is the O ring to seal the cap and # 48 is the nylon and brass chain fuel cap retainer that fits inside the tank.

Wildman your lower end is on its way, went out yesterday.

I got it today. Thank you very much for it as its in very nice shape. It's a great starting point to fix up this p51. Shame my projects are gonna have to go on hold a little bit but when you see the saws I got coming it when it was all well worth it.

pioneer p60 clutch

I just ordered some clutch parts from rottmans for a p60. They sent me clutch drum #473757 and cluth shoe/spider and spring assembly #475976. I figured the assembly is for a 655. Will any of this work on a p60?

Thanks Kevin

The clutch I have on my P60 is not correct either, but it works. The important thing is that it needs the correct spline configuration to mate to the crank. Some clutches have a keyway, and some are supposedly threaded. Neither of those will work. The splines look like a smaller version of the splines that hold the sprocket.

The splines do look the same and it looks like it would work. I was hopeing somebody could verify this before I took the parts out of the bag. Is this what the clutch looks like on your p60?

Does anybody know of a less expensive replacment clutch for the p60 or clutch shoes from different models of pioneer that would work.
?

Kevin, the IPL's are showing a farmsaw has the same spider and shoes. I got some, just have to check the condition. Yours if you want them.

I picked up some saws today, nothing too exciting, but here they are. They are very, very dirty.

P-28 and a P-21. They both run but need a bit of work. The 28 needs some a/v buffers.

This cute little fellow. P-12. It has been sitting for many years, but it should run too.

This is probably the best of the bunch. P55 partner. The guy told me it runs but the coil is bad and it shuts down when it gets hot.
I don't know much about these saws, but for what I paid, the bars and chains are worth it.

If the partner is as good as my other partners, I will be quite happy with it. I don't know about finding a coil, however.
I also got a p-25 electronic parts saw, and a wild thang in a bucket!

I will do that Jerry. Tomorrow will be cleanup day for these guys. I see that I need an air filter for the partner too.

Thanks for the tip.

Pioneer Parts

Very nice package to look forward too. Sure beats the usual bills I get in the mail. Nice collection of bars with 3 different logos. I have never seen that Pioneer logo on a bar that is on the one with the roller nose.
Got a line on some more nos Pioneer parts myself.
