That’s good news! You’re saying a rod from a 600 series should work? I’ve got plenty of those.
I looked at an IPL for the PT and it showed a different PN than the ST so that’s why I started to question it. I’m hoping it works though!
I have a good bar and chain, unfortunately it is missing the bar cover and the intake for the carburetor as well. I do have some mufflers for the PT. They will not be original unfortunately.

Different part numbers because they are different. However, a later rod came with a note that it could be used in earlier saws as long as you used matching big end bearings. Lay them next to each and it should be evident. Those earlier hex nuts with retainers are a colossal pain to work with.

I'll just say my JC rod is the same as my 750 rod which is the same as a 600 rod and they are backwards compatible. Pioneer didn't bother to reinvent the wheel.
I’m glad they made things Universal! I am on the hunt for rings for this as well. They are the same as an IEL AB. Know of any sitting around in a garage sale? 🤣

I went thru my AB and 2 Super Twins not that long ago. Good luck. Your saw has a few missing parts but looks good. It's obvious that an upgrade to the Super cylinders isn't a simple top end swap. The bolt pattern is way different and would require a different case.
