I was able to get one ring off I measure the ring thickness and its 1/8 of and inch or 0.125 dose this help

And I found the sxl rings with out the piston

105 thousands is the ring gap on the ring at the exhaust port that sounds large

I got the sxl rings what show the ring gap be 0.08 or 0.80

Ring gap on new rings on a bore that size could be from.006 -.008 and be safe.

Go with the manual then, there may be a ring keeper in the piston that needs to be factored in.

Measure the keeper pin and add .008 to that. No guess work when it comes to this stuff.

Tells me nothing without knowing the width of the keeper pin in the piston, that is what the rings could expand to when heated. Don`t want the ring ends to meet up with an unmovable restriction, they would then bow out and catch in a port.

Pin is 1.0mm

Then add .008 to it and that would be the required ring gap.
