I think I'm in the right "area", normally I'm in the chainsaw portion, but I have a question for those who know more than I!?
My wife and i just got are first batch of chickens in April from Mcmurrayhatchery.com, so I would like to know exactly what these berries are?
I would like to give these berries to my chickens, but I want to know what they are?
The Bluejays have been eating them, so I figure they must be OK, but just want to make sure?
Hope my pic's are good enough...

From what I have found, I think there "Blackcurrent" berries, but the leaves are round on the ends, not like the one's I've seen on-line?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Did it smell really wonderful in the spring? Yellow tubular flowers? Check out Clove Currant, ribes odoratum. Fruit is an edible, black berry which can be used in jellies, preserves and pies.
