It's 14".

The only ones available locally are the Oregon's at Lowes and Walmart. The local places are lousy with homeowner Stihl stuff, but not much else.

Received your PM Nitch. Wally world does indeed have 14" and 16" sprocket noses that will fit your saw. If you change your mind and need me to send you a bar let me know. Got a couple extra 14" sprocket noses...

The rings made it!!! They are 38mm Caber rings with that are notched for a pin. I matched them in opposition to help the seal.

I used the venerable Yamabond 4 for the base. After getting it all back together, I may need to make a very thin base gasket as it is right on the edge of free-porting the bottom of the exhaust.

I had to elongate the mounting holes in the coil. The coil is mounted to the cylinder, so dropping the base took all of the adjustment out of the coil.

Here is the saw all buttoned up after using the Granberg to file back about $10 worth of Stihl semi-chisel chain that came with the saw and the hard-nose bar.

Cold compression is 190 psi at 3,600ft. elevation.

Locating Pins?

Great job! Are there no ring locating pins at all? Too late now, but I remember that carl had suggested that the pin shaped gaps should face up in an older S25DA thread (atttached). I'll bet that's why they used two wide bridges in the exhaust port, just like the old Lawn Boy D series mower pistons.

Same saws in some incredibly hard wood of unknown species. I thought it was Cedar Bark Elm until the chain hit it.

Same saws in some seasoned elm species. Probably Siberian Elm, but pretty darned hard in this state.

Both chains are Stihl semi-chisel with the rakers a bit low for the wood I found at the yard. Both are wearing 14" bars, with the Poulan being a few links longer. The Poulan has a hard nose bar and a poorer chain, overall. This saw deserves a little better set-up and I'll get that taken care of.

For reference, this is at 3,600 ft elevation which really does make a difference.

My little Poulan probably needs some reed work. Tons of spitback through the carb. Piston might be too worn as well. The compression tore up my hands starting it. The 200t pulls over like a toy in comparison.

I'm pretty happy with this guy. Fun little project.

The 200T is WAY out of tune. I bet it's more than 1,000 RPMs too rich. Instead of revving at WOT, it sounds like it actually loads up and slows down.

Yeah, I leaned it up in later cuts. I just did some carb work and was being cautious. I don't know if I caught that on video.
