The only reason I'm asking is we have a very limited parts availability for this hobby until someone starts reproducing some of this stuff and I'm just trying to keep what's out there useable if possible. Even if it not 100% correct I'd rather have a working 85cc poulan than one in the scrap heep. What I can say is that I am pretty sure I did just what Mark said can not be done. I put a complete 5200 top end on a 6900 frame. Mark and I discussed this and not sure but it did work and I am using the saw currently. I should go back in it and see part # etc on cylinder
I know Mark, I need to pull the cover and see just what I have on there. I need to see if the fins were already missing on the cylinder. I tree or something crushed the entire rear handle off of the donor saw (5200) that is why I used it.
