Well I haven't decided yet on the 8500 it's a 404-7t and it's a gift for my father this coming Christmas. He been wanting a big poulan for the occasional big stuff and I'm not sure of what options are out there for the 404 stuff I would like a 28". On the above saw its a 3/8's and a 28 is what I am planning on running. I may have to switch the 8500 to a 3/8 to have a better selection.

The wait for parts continues for my other one. Lol

No I actually got lucky and found a NOS cylinder cover. The one I have from you is much nicer than the one on the 6900 and I'll use it there instead. I've been playing around with wet sanding the one off of the 6900 to see if I can't make it look new.

There's nothing like the hunt for, and then finding, NOS parts for a build/restoration regardless of what it is! It doesn't always happen, but when it does, it sure is nice. Saw parts, truck parts, good vintage clothing, gun parts, it's all drying up.
I'm looking for good used or NOS quarter panels for my 1972 K5 Chevy Blazer that was my Fathers. I'm not ready to restore it yet, but I want original parts as opposed to reproduction parts for it when I am. Some reproduction parts are always necessary, but you can't beat original. Sorry for the rant, but I think you know what I mean. Max.
