Hi Ultraman, I`m gald to see that you found at least one problem to be addressed, probably will get your saw running. I`d pick up the carb kit while your at the dealer because it`s nearly a sure thing that after 15 years or so the carb needs at least a metering diaphragm and a good cleaning.

Since you brought up the subject of buying a saw at Lowe`s, I would suggest that you won`t get any quality service so you might as well mailorder it. That being the suggestion, you could probabaly get a Husky 353 for the same money as the 350 from Lowe`s. The 353 is built to a different standard than the 350 although the 340, 345, and 350 have been pretty good saws. But why not have the best saw you can for the money. Commercial Cutters, Southwest Fastener, Power made easy, and Dozer Dan and Chainsawworld who post here have pretty good prices if you do mail order.

Update I

Picked up some fuel line and a filter at Ace Hardware and took the saw farther apart when I got home. Now I can see where everything goes. I've decided to take your advice and get a carb rebuild kit. Are there any dealers online reading this that I can buy one from? Also may as well get an air filter gasket and any other parts recommended. My email is [email protected] Please advise.

I went by the Stihl dealer today, actually to pick up the above parts. This dealer is one of those feed and seed farm stores. There's one knowledgeable guy on duty and it seems there's always a bunch of people waiting to see him. I looked at the Stihl's, particularly the recommended 260, and left. I've been there before, and it's the same deal being waited on.

Thank you for the recommendations on the Huskys. I will consider buying here before anywhere else.

Also, please add to that list of things a guy can't have too many of: Geetars!

Again, thanks so much for your help guys.

U, there will be a brand and model somewhere on your carb, you don`t need to shop by the applying the kit to your specific saw. Cutters Choice is a pretty good place to get the kits. I`d call them and order via telephone because their website leaves alot to be desired.Cutters Choice

PS: have them send you a catalog.
