What a great day it was yesterday! It was just wonderful to see old friends again and meet some new ones as well. I want to personally thank Gregg for hosting us all. You went above and beyond!

It was nice the the weather decided to cooperate with us as the rain let up early and stayed away the rest of the day.

We ended up with a fine bunch of Poulan saws to run as well! There were some more here that didn't make this picture!

I'm sure others will be along in bit with more pictures

Very Nice.:chainsawguy:

First off I'd like to thank Gregg and co. for hosting an absolutley wonderful GTG. Folks don't get more hospitable than Gregg's family and friends. Everything was awesome and a good time was had by all. Like it was said earlier it was good to see old friends and good to meet new ones. Steve made the long trip to be with us and we were all glad to finaly put a face to the name and the voice. My Bro also made the long trip from back home to be there and had a great time. Watching MS460Woodchuck teach his young son how to use a chainsaw and seeing the excitment in the boys eyes gave everyone a good feeling. Catching up with the Mikes, Sheila and Mark is always a good time. The sense of comradery and friendship was awesome in a beautiful relaxing enviroment provided by our host(s). To all those that weren't able to make it, we though about you and we hope you can make the next one.

I want to start off by saying, I want to thank all those who attended the first Poulan GTG. Some who traveled a great distance. A better group of people could not be found..and I mean that. I think Mr. Poulan was looking down and watching out for us on this day.;) Started out stormy & wet, but once everyone gathered, the sun came out, and turned out to be a beautifull day and evening. I want to especially thank Mike(RMSMoparman), for bringing his guitar, and singing all evening, around the campfire, under the stars. A better time can't be had..
I had the opertunity to run some of the finest saws ever made, without a dout. Some unbelivably nice saws were in attendance. Like, Steve's(67Mustang) gorgeous 7700!!! Mark's(ModifiedMark) 245Bow saw, & my personal favorite his awsume 71A. That is a hoot to run..:biggrinbounce2:
Some real old American power there, and did I mention, LOUD..LOL

I know others will post pics & video, so I'll just post a few pics I took.
Thanks again guys & gals for a Great Day!!!

Here is Mark making the first cut of the day, with his 71A

Great pics guys! Really makes us Poulan guys who werent there wish we were

Joe, we wished you were here too! and a number of the other Poulan lovers.;)
Was a great time for sure, and to have so much Poulan knowledge, that these fellas have was learning experience to boot.
I'm sure there will be another GTG, someday, somewhere down the line.;)
The miles make these things tough to pull off.

Gregg,

My newly finished PP475 didn't want to play nice at first but with a little coaxing it started to get with the program. John keeps telling me to give it a chance as it did run better the longer we ran it.

LOL, Yes, I owe Steve big time for that find. I'll try take a few pics of that tomorrow. And to think it has been hidding in a barn only a few miles from me..:dizzy:
Steve needed a .404 rim for his big Sachs-Dolmar, so on friday I said there is a Husky dealer just down the road from me, we can try him. They had his part, by the way.:)
We inquired if they see any Poulans come in, and if they had any older ones laying around. He said no, but he thought his dad might, as he remmbered running a big green saw when he was about 12.
To make a long story short, Steve went over to this guys house at 7:30 sat. morning, and came to the GTG with a 245A & a parts saw to boot. Also, a S25CVA. WOW!!!! Steve came away with a Skill-saw branded 3400 I think it was, for himself too! So now I own a 245A, just have to give it a clean up and ck it over. Steve (67Mustang) is one heck of a blood hound..lol And I thank him dearly..
