Hello saw guys,

Been doing a little pre-spring cleaning and dug up all of our dead saws. This saw looks old??? Powerlite PL-4 serial # JK475 ......

Anyone know how old this soldier might be? Thanks, MP

My dad has a Remington PL-4 that was given to him probably 20 years ago by an older gentleman that could no longer cut his own wood. I believe it was a new saw in the late 60's. I have the PL-4 manual. 3.6 Cu In, 9500 RPM, 12.5 lb powerhead. On the back of the manual it says "Revised 12/64". The serial number of this saw is written in the manual JF-378.

I have acquired a few free saws over the years from clients, usually older men who's wife has put an end to their weekend sawing. Just last week a fella gave me a( Mc pro mac 10-10), which looks old to me,and it is shot I'm sure. This prompted me to investigate our saw graveyard in the barn where I found this geezer(Remington).

Think I will clean it up and stick on the wall, SOMEDAY!

Thanks for the info TonyM, mp
