a lot of the milling guys seem to make up a variation on this, some of them are really beefy! great way to get an occasional big log around. I don't know that you'd manage to get one road registered in aus ;-)

This is a real log dolly/arch.. can handle some big wood..

Nice to have if you don't have a skid loader or mini..

$600... What do you think?

I think it would get it to the trailer but loading would be pita, I have a poor mans skid 77 bobcat 600 lol does not have roll protection, got use finesse, but she gets it done. I have about 4500 in it with the new motor and it has done way more in saved effort. Its not like the big nice ones of today but does not tear the ground up as bad either.

Nice_ I always see the gas companies around here moving tanks around with something like that but bigger. You could handle 35" plus logs with one. I don't think you could get one for 600.00 though.
good buy :D

It beats the heck out of shouldering wood and I am pretty sure a similar one could be fabricated with a little elbow grease for much less. I have a freind who is a fabricator and loves little projects like this just to see how well we can make it work.

nice, I'm in the process of building one similar that will use a 12v winch and a pulley system to lift the log and it can be pulled with a four wheeler or lawn tractor.....

probably want to get past half way around with the grapple. I have a much bigger one that that we use with the crane. You could upgrade and you could probably transport over the roads short distances.

I have one that sees use a few times a year with a small tractor. It can be used to load onto a trailer, but you have to be careful. I think I paid $450 for it a few years ago. Used it this past summer to carry elm logs out of a backyard. One log must have weighed upwards of 2,000 lbs.

I almost bought a pole trailer from the power company several years back but I don't need anything like that now.

I liked this one so well, I bought the last one available, just to have a spare. BUT since I got the skid steer, they don't see much outdoor time anymore.. I AM going to sell one and keep the other, for the few times when it will be needed..
