OK how do you tell if you have summer bar oil, I have read that they make diffrent oil but how do you know which you have or is it like if you don't buy winter oil assume it is summer oil?

What temps are summer oil ok to cut at? over 40 degrees, over 50 degrees?

I use the same oil year around; cold weather I cut it with 10 wt non detergent. So far haven't had any problems.

Here are both sides of the origanal 11 year old bar on my 026. This saw & bar have cut at least 40 cords of wood, likely more. I use regular Stihl bar oil no matter what the weather. My local shop has told me the rails are getting close to where the bar might need replaced next year.

Nice! You are easy on stuff like my dad. His '73 041 has the 2nd bar on it. Hard to tell how much wood it's cut. Probably between 150-200 cords.
