Put a 25 bar on it and it shouldn't be a problem Lake. BTW it's not how fast you make one cut. It's how fast you get the job done. IMHO

but.... but.... but.... I was thinking more like 36 inch maple or doug fir! And, it's not up on a stand - 6 inches depressed in the gravel, so 'yer might want to slow down at the end... particularly as it would be the average of 10 cuts

BTW it's not how fast you make one cut. It's how fast you get the job done. IMHO

I usually do not respond to threads like this because I get a little embarrassed, but thanks Ultra and thanks to all the others who have ackowledged my saws on Arboristsite.

I am glad the piston and cylinder kit worked out for you. It took you long enough to install it. What wrong? were you a little intimidated?

Ultra mentioned that we are going to be offering the kits. Well yes and no. We will send them out but only if I am sure that you have the knowledge to install the kits right. I do give all the specs and will help you in any way but will not guarentee anything more than my workmanship. I did not install it so I can not guarentee them past that.

I think this is a great idea, Dean I commend you. I had asked another builder before about buying a recipe for a saw. I received no response, he was known to be more tight lipped.

I like that they can save on shipping and labor of tearing the saw down.

Is this a touchy subject?
The first thing that comes off my saws are the stock filter system (including the baffle in side) followed by exhaust face plate and then the stock dawgs.
Just my preferences though.

No. I offered to sell my Maxflow filter to Ultra when he bought the saw. It would have been funny if he didn't have one on the shelf.
