I've been hording up a few of the 1127 series of saws. This series includes 029- 54cc, 029super/ MS290- 57cc, MS310- 59cc , and 039/ ms390- 64cc.

I started out with six motors. 2-039, 1-310, 2-290, 1-029, but one of the 290 cyl was scored beyond repair.

SO now I'm down to five.

Not sure why I enjoy this series so much, but they are kinda fun to build. Once you get the motor out. I remove the spacers out of the case & use the bolts to assemble the motor & clamp it in my vise.

I really don't have a goal in mind for this thread, just wanted to show what I was up to. I'll post the different timing #'s of all the cyl. I would like to be able to get all of these in cases to do a shootout, but not sure if I have enough parts to build five complete saws.

I'm thinking of building a package deal, ported cyl, new piston with or without popup, new bearings/seals, and gutted & double ported muffler. Just not sure what a good price would be on this type of deal.

disappointed

Man I got all excited with that title but now I just found out it was just saws.....lol

Here's how the timing #'s came out.

Now I wish I could run these thins stock to see what the diff is with the Transfer #'s.

I'll be porting all of these to the same specs. More on that later.

Wow, I was just going through my small pile of saws tryin to see if I could bring one back to life. Decided on 039. Brought it in and thought I would finish reading about the MS362 you were workin on first, thinkin may get one today still not sure. Then saw this. I sure hope Im thinking like you and not the other way around. :msp_scared:

I hope your not thinking like me, unless you got a good shrink:tongue2:

Here's the last one I did. It came to me as a 310 & left a 390.

Are these numbers prior to their weight loss program?

Yes, those are all the stock #'s.

Here's the #'s I'm grinding them all too.

ex dur- 164*

tr dur- 126*

In dur- 164*

bd 19*

These #'s worked real good on the 290 & 390 I have done so far. the 290 had more in duration, but made it a lil more finiky, so I've backed off a tad since the width of the port will supply plenty of volume to the case.
