Pull Starter 045

Looking for help on my pull starter on a 045. I changed the rope and now it will not ingage. It worked before I took it apart. The starter ring does look wore but being how it worked before I thought I might have done something wrong.

did you load the coil ?? how exactly do you mean it will not engage ??

The rope recoils but when I pull on the friction shoes do not grab the starter ring.

hum,,, sounds like the two little paddle whatchamacallits thinggys on the rope coil disc have either fallen off or broken, if i could get my hands on it i could fix it, i think its only something very simple best bring it to your saw dealer they will prob fix it there and then
