Red maple browning and loosing leaves early (September).

I have a red maple browning from the tips and loosing leaves early the last 2 years. I have other small maples, elms and oaks that are doing fine. I’m in central Wisconsin

Two years in a row. Leaves show premature browning from tips in, appearing in late summer, or under general drought stress. You should look up something called Bacterial Leaf Scorch as a probable candidate. Usually seen on oaks, but can affect maple as well. Symptoms are from a bacteria, Xylella fastidiosa, which plugs up xylem and starves the tree/leaves of water. Hence the scorch.
