Does anyone here own one,and if so,how do you like it.My dealer is starting to sell them, and at just over 200 bucks,I thought about giving their top handle saw a try...I don't know the model.

Redmax

I do not own any Redmax equipment, but all I have heard is good. Someone who is using redmax will come along and be more informative. Tom

The only Redmax that I have owned is the 5000. It was a high quality saw. Power wise it was about equal to a Husky 346. Some of the crews here have switched to them from the other brands. They are alot less money than the others brands here also.

Redmax 5000--$499
Husky 346----$725

I have a Redmax 3100 Top-Handle saw..............it sure isn't a 200T but for a backup it is a good saw!

That's just it....I'm kinda tired of some of my guy's beating my 200Ts around sometimes....I was gonna buy one for everyone else to use....I'll probably continue to use the 200

RedMax saws are Japanese design with all saws currently made in Japan except the G3100 which are made in Italy. As for the future I would think the Husqvarna purchase will change the future of some of the larger saws but only time will tell. RedMax has built very good engines with lots of power. The RedMax EB6200 Backpack blower that RAISED the bar in the backpack blower world used a 62cc cylinder design from the G621 chainsaw.

RedMax

:) I agree with Uwarrie, I can only speak from ownership of a trimmer (3000)and back pack (7001) blower as I do not own a RedMax chainsaw. That said, I really feel both are very well made products.
