If you kill the Troll, then Talon and Ultra will be fighting over the Witch :jawdrop:
So what about rev-limiters? opcorn:
Good point Urbicide, kinda got off track here, but I wanted to touch base and say hello to Tom and Mow. Sorry
Naaaaaaaaaaaaa I wouldn't dare hurt Sawtroll, I likes the ole feller. He and me are quite different. He likes specs, I like sawing. He considers weight, I consider muscle. He knows his saws and I know them too but not in as great detail as him. So I can't kill him, he gives me good info,LOLOL
Naaaaaaaaaaaa Sawtroll is alright. We disagree on alot of things but remain civil just the same, way it should be.
Them boys are gonna have to figure out another way to steal Witchy cause Sawtroll and me aren't gonna fight and leave the door open for them boys, hahaha
Well, at least you got something right! :hmm3grin2orange:The story of a fat azz saw
Apart from being more difficult to adjust optimally, there's nothing wrong with rev limiters. If the basic engine design is too high reving for the lubrication, materials or construction, rev limiters keep it is the safer zone.
Is that why Dolmar uses them. Can't handle the RPM's:monkey:
From what I have heard the 7900's can take a lot of RPM's!!!

A few saw builders have ran the 7900 way past 13,500 rpm just to see if they would break, they held up just fine.
I recall the 575 being called everything from a boat anchor to it won't run when cold, blowing bearings and on and on. That was a while back. Spike claimed he had no such issues with it and that his customers liked it as well as the old 372. Since then I haven't heard anymore about the 575 so I assume its not what it was claimed to be awhile back. Other words its turned out to be a good saw, cool I say. The 441 was shot at alot too when it first come out but since then has proven the critics wrong, hold on, patting myself on the back,LOL
Long time no see Bum, how ya been? Yeah this time round the Troll will meet the Hall face to face and duel over the Prince(441) and the Queen(372). Hopefully neither of us will have to die,LOLOL The last chapter will be a doosey for sure. Hold me to this so I don't forget. It will be just like ole times for sure...
You still remember the Prince, daymmmmmmm, that was a thread wasn't it??
I believe most of those "shots" was about its weight, compared to the 440 and 460, and a few about its "fat-azz" shape - not about its performance as such.......:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:
Those two (admittedly minor) issues + the fact it was a new model, was enough for me to loose interest - and I had wanted a 372xpg for years.......
