have noticed thru pics, he wasnt much for usin fullwraps
anyone that knew him know why?

either way, likin the pics
I cannot really say for John as it was a non issue with us but for me I would not have a saw with a full wrap, it makes them too clumsey for my use, no use having an exrta wide brush catcher on a saw we use for production uses, same as the large felling dawgs, no use for them. I like a sleek compact saw that handles without catching up in limning chores and will cut low to the ground on felling cuts without the handle dragging on the floor debris. Our conversations were more about chains and how to shape cutters for different wood types.

That plaid shirt and Canadian box bring back memories
All those pic's look like they could be taken up here.I imagine it's northern Ontario.
At his age then I think it would be Ontario as well, I think he was in his 50`s when he headed on up to the Yukon. He never really told me but it just seemed to be that way from the pics he would occasionally send me.Our conversations revolved mainly around chainsaw modifications and chain prep.

I dunno
You can handle a saw just fine without a 3/4 or full
