Yes I agree, deceptive. I will give them feedback either way. But for the price ($11 a loop with free shipping) for 72DL chain I can accept it being ok quality. If it's junk I will send it back
I won't state the obvious My advise RETURN it Ignore late post

Ordered some Stihl brand chain off Amazon and received "Rotary" brand made in china. Anyone see/use this stuff?

I can send it back but the price was cheap so I will keep it if it's OK stuff.
I am a Rotary Dealer and if it is Rotary chain it is made in the USA. Now you can buy Rotary chainsaw chain boxes and they may have put whatever chain in said box. Rotary chain will have "Rotary" stamped in the links.

Anybody got a link to the cheapo Amazon Rotary chain? I looked but didn't find it.

I call BS. Rotary Copperhead Chains are Made in China See proof attached, unopened package !! My Echo/Husky dealer had put one on a brand new Echo CS-590 I bought from him a few years ago. I figured out what he was doing when I was in the shop to pick up a 24" bar and chain a UPS shipment came in, it was a new powerhead and bar, no chain, not a complete saw in an Echo Box.. He orders the power head and bars separately, then throws a Rotary chain on them. Granted it was a full chisel chain and I will admit, it cut really well, but he is just ripping off his customers to make a few extra bucks. (added note: on each of his registers, there's a sign that says "Absolutely No Refunds". I've never been back to his shop.

I actually took the time to search for their website. Do not know if this is true of not, but here's a copy and paste from the product details.

(Note it says "Think you can't buy trimmer line, filters or blades that are made in the USA? Take a look at Rotary. Altogether, four out of every five parts we shipped last year were proudly made in the USA. When you buy Rotary parts, you're keeping jobs in America.")

Rotary's manufacturing facility in Glennville, Georgia, is a leader in advanced technology, quality control and manufacturing expertise.

Copperhead Saw Chain

  • Made from German Steel
  • Chrome Plated Cutters Angled for True Performance
  • Drive link and rivet combination Hardened for Optimal Performance & Longevity
  • Copperhead hardness minimizes stretching
  • Manufactured to exacting standards of Quality, Strength, and Durability
  • Engineered for Precision Balance & Low Vibration

But it does not say if their sawchain is one of the ‘four out of five parts’. It might be the fifth.

Rotary sells a wide range of aftermarket parts for mowers, etc., advertising as a source for independent dealers.

‘Made in China’ does not necessarily mean ‘junk’. But misrepresenting a product is deceptive. The posts about user’s experience with performance are the most important to me.
