I plan to put my PS50105 back together tomorrow, IPL says to "use glue" on the flywheel side bearing. After dismantling the saw I understand why, when I carried the crankcase half over to my small arbor press to remove it, it fell out...fortunately I have some thick rubber padding on the floor in that area.

What is the preferred "glue"? I have Dirko HT, Threebond, Indian Head gasket shellac, Lock-Tite 290...

Thanks for any assistance.

Mark

Loctite 601 is what they use in Germany.

I went with Indian Head gasket shellac, passed pressure and vacuum test once I got the impulse port blocked.

After all that, now I find I need an ignition as it has no spark. I couldn't check before now since it came in pieces. Compression seems to be very high pulling it over. I am looking forward to getting this one together and in some wood.

I need some help with my dolmar 114
Where can I get crank seals, are they standard seals?
It uses a 45mm piston, is there another dolmar or husqvarna piston that is the same?
I need to split the case because the paint is peeling up.
Are there any parts available such as crankcase gaskets?
Does the KS cylinder have better port timing than the Mahle?
Thanks

I made a mistake with the dimensions. These are the correct dimensions
Crank seal flywheel side 15/24x7
clutch side 15/30x7

What case bearings do I need for a dolmar 114 chainsaw. I need to split the case anyway, so I might as well change the bearings.

The oiler drive gear is not a pipe thread. It maybe close but a pipe threat is a tapered thread
which the drive gear is not. You might be able to fab a tool that will work as I have in the past
with a nut that will thread on a couple threads and make a tool. When installing make sure you
have it at the same depth on the crank shaft.

My 9000 build up is finish ! Very happy with this one , it still has her bing carb but spark with the newer coil and flywheel . Remove the entire muffler baffle and I prefer like that , I made time cuts to test some tuning .

Got this dcs 401 a few months back for a good price. Wanted a decent project to work on. Replaced bearings, seals, AF (flocked changed to nylon), carb kit, muffler modded, base gasket delete and a few other trinkets. Waiting to get a b+c this week too fully test. Passed vac and pressure test.

Got it’s smaller brother on the bench now (dcs 340) and it’s cleaning up real nice. Just needs a Fuel line, piston ring and a few other small items I can get in town. Waiting on the piston ring to go any further.

Very nice saws Colin.

Hey fellas, finally found all of the parts to complete my 143MX. Rebuilt tillotson carb yada yada. Put muffler from a 309 cut off saw on it, as the original was rusted and blown apart. Can get it to pop and run a bit, but no idle and bogs down and dies. Carb was thoroughly cleaned out and assembled correctly. Idle screw is all the way in and L is at about 1 1/3 out. H is about 1 turn out. Thinking the carb may have issues. Is there a Walbro or Zama direct replacement that doesn't require fabricating throttle/choke linkage? Pretty stumped with this saw.

Hi guys,i hope this is the right place to ask.I am looking to buy a new 50cc chainsaw and the Dolmar 5105 got my attention.I was going for the Echo CS 501SX but i changed my mind.Dolmars are not available in Greece but we have their simblings,Makita and Maruyama.I have found the Maruyama MCV 5100s,Greek e-shops refering to it as 3.9 HP so i assume it is the 5105 version.Problem is i can't find anywhere the MCV 5100s but Greece, not even in the Maruyama site. What's the deal?Is the MCV 5100s the Europian version of the MCV 51?Thanks in advance and sorry for the hijack.

Looking at a ps9000 with a 26" bar. Seller tested it and said it needs a coil which is $100, but sounds like they eat coils. Chain looks good, bar says dolmar so probably original. It needs cleaning uo but did not look beat up, just used. What do you guys thinks its worth?
Anybody know if coil replacement is a hard job or any special steps needed other that bolts and screws?
Any idea where to get the ps9010 coil and flywheel upgrade and also if any special steps or tools needed to do this?
I would like a big saw, I have a couple in the 60cc range. (Dolmar ps6000i, makita dcs6421, and a pioneer farmsaw).
