saddles?

How about showing them saddles, Do you have and use your own when working for a bigger company or are thay company issued? How bad do your saddles get before replacing it? I will plst a pic of mine that is company issued tomarrow after work. This is one fine fine saddle!

What kind of saddle are you using? I've been using a Weaver Cougar and like it for the price.

Yeah There is a major recall on the cougar saddle right now!

The recall is only for the bridge on some of the Cougar saddles. I don't climb on a cougar saddle but have looked them over. Looks like a pretty good saddle for a pretty decent price. I make my own rope bridge out of Safety Blue rather than spend $50 bucks on one of the tailor mades anyway.

I have always purchased my own saddles except for my first one which was a hand me down from my employer. I have had a couple bought for me by employers that I have worked for in the past but I pretty much always have had my own and usually favored it over the ones made available to me by employers. I always like to have my own climbing gear; that way if I didn't like how things were going with an outfit I could saddle up and move on.

Any serious climber is going to have his own climbing gear. When I worked for other services it was customary for a climber to use his own climbing gear and the owner would provide the saws.

I am climbing on an older Petzl Navaho Mini Boss right now. Love that thing. My old saddle was a standard Weaver which is the model that I have climbed in forever. No pics of the saddle. just a few of me climbing but it's hard to really look the saddle over in them.

My saddle is a cotten back traditional saddle with the little leather leg straps. I find it a real pain. I think I have a pic available to you all. I have used this thing on a daily basis. I am getting kinda partial to the fringe things! It is very comforting climbing above the power lines and seeing this. Company issued.
