I'm blown away if these things are really worth this much. Mine runs and funtions, although I've never cut wood with it. It's difficult to find any info about them on the web. They're just that uncommon. These are the first ones I've ever seen for sale.

Noticed those prices too. About as floored as you probably were... May be worth every penny, but not on my dollar. Pretty neat none the less.

Here's a vid of mine running. At the time that I made this video, I didn't know how to enguage the blade. All you have to do is pull back on the handle mounted on the PTO shaft.

I remember seeing one of those in a barn years ago near Findley Lake NY, wonder if it is still there? Had no idea what it even was back then.

Sally in NC

On Oct.2, in Butner NC, I was doing my usual 2-man demos and talking to all the old-timers when a fella came up and offered to sell me his company!
I sorta chuckled and advised him I was broke but if he had a chainsaw company, I/WE would be interested.
He explained that he was in South Bend IN. on some business years ago and during a conversation he was offered a chance to bid on some crazy-ass
company. So as to appease the young lady asking, he put down $500 on the bid form and stuffed it back in the envelope and gave it to her. She called two weeks later and told him to come get his company! Back to So. Bend on his PU w/camper shell and loaded it all up,just barely! Gobs of blades, about 20 motors and bunches more parts, but nary a connecting tube from the motor to the blade. So the Sally Saw Co. is somewhere in the center of North Carolina.
Igpoe:cheers:
