Hi,
Is there a big difference in the cutting speed between the Stihl MS 390 and MS361? Also I have a possible firewood cutting job (30-50 full cords). If I get the job I will be looking for a new saw. After the job I will not be doing a whole lot of cutting. Is it worth the extra $100 for the MS361? Thanks and if you have other saw suggestions let me know. Thanks
Ryan

If it was a saw I depended on to make money there would be no question on the 361.

The extra cash for the 361 will be paid for in the first week in production.

Get the 361. If you decide to sell it after the job you will get most if not all the extra investment back. If you decide to keep it then you have a better saw for years to come.

If I was going to cut that much wood I would get a 460 or a 372, they will blow away a 361, depends, whats your time worth to you?

Never ran a 390 but I have run a 290 and let me say that the 361 is light years ahead of the 290/310/390 series. Anti-vibe is excellent and overall weight and balance is phenomenal. Get it and don't look back:cheers:
