I've got an old shed next to my wood pile where carpenter bees use the same dug out holes year after year. They haven't made any new ones in quite some time, so I leave them be. If they try digging onto the trim on the house that's when I give them a shot of Raid. Sometimes when I'm stacking I'll stop for a bit and watch them as they patrol the area around their entrance. If another bee gets too close it's like air combat ensues and they'll grapple and tumble all over the place. It's actually kinda entertaining.

I have little piles of sawdust in my firewood. I can't see any evidence of carpenter bees so I'm a bit stumped what might be causing the sawdust. Might be termites or ants
