Anyone have any experience in purchasing replacement parts from Sawzilla? The call their replacement parts line 'Proline' and I need to replace the fuel and impulse hoses on my 028 and they have them at a reasonable price compared to the Stihl dealer. Everything at the dealer is overpriced it seems to me...

Any good, or junk to avoid?

Sidecar, Been thru the 028 Fuel Hose thing so sharing my notes.

I've had okay experience using Proline vibration mount set on an 032. Identified the Proline 028 fuel hose as future option. Would consider Proline but 1st try OE 024/026 'old style' hose (required 8mm grommet, 1121 358 7705 ). Under $10 at my local JD store.

Is curious that Proline declare Not Made in China.
Figure that doesn't exclude Taiwan, Indonesia, etc unless said Made in USA. Ref, some mention that Hyway rubber are Taiwan source (Don’t know).

Last I knew could still buy OE -- Impulse 1115 141 8600 (sources state fits 028, 042, 045, 048, 056).

A year ago went thru same on neighbors 028 WB. Installed the Fuel Hose 1119 358 7701 / 7700 (for 034, 036, 038, 064). Bit of a mistake as excessively long to carb side, causes hose to rub & bind throttle rod. Resolved with zip-tie points but not ideal.
-- see below, about 4 3/4" outside of grommet.

Doing 028 again would try Stihl OE 024/026 pn 1121 358 7705. My research & multiple listing indicate proper 8mm grommet size & fit to 028.

I tend to buy aftermarket hard parts like pistons, rings, screws.

And, OEM rubber parts: hoses and seals. At least, on saws I plan to keep.

It is true that the typical OEM Stihl hose is expensive...at about 10 bucks...but, they are 100% reliable and will last, what, 10-15 years?

On saws I plan to flip, I have sometimes used Cross and Farmertec and Hyway soft parts. With full disclosure to the prospective buyer. Those have been fine, at least out of the box.

Unbranded AM rubber parts from Ebay...not so much.
