I stihl despise Stihl for their holier than though dealer network and then they sold their souls to the JD network after all of that smack talk. And the parts cartel. But they obviously make some good equipment.
Definitely understandable. Have youe ever considered just ordering a 100 foot spool of square chain? The beauty of having a spool of it is. Even if you don't need that much chain you can sell loops and at least break even and get your money back. Last time I ordered a spool of STIHL RS. It was $300 bones.KK, I prefer to use square file chain because it cuts a little faster and is much better for milling and ripping, so it is just better for all around use for me.
I often convert round to square because almost no one sells square around here (unless they attend our GTGs). You go into a Stihl store and ask for square file chain and they will look at you like you are from Mars! I did buy a bunch from a member on another site who is a dealer.
I know who's 044 SVK rand years ago!!!! As I remember, he liked it better than any of the other saws I owned at the time!
I want an 064 too, the forgotten legend. No no no. Just skip both and go straight to a 066!
Here Stihl stripped the JD dealers of their franchise . Most are at Agway/Ace or stand alone dealersI stihl despise Stihl for their holier than though dealer network and then they sold their souls to the JD network after all of that smack talk. No skip just add it to the list.No no no. Just skip both and go straight to a 066!
I wish they'd allow online parts sales. However, I'm lucky to have a very good dealer who knows his **** and doesn't charge list for everything. He sold me my MS400 PHO which I don't think they're supposed to do.I stihl despise Stihl for their holier than though dealer network and then they sold their souls to the JD network after all of that smack talk. I need another project like I need a hole in my head!Definitely understandable. Have youe ever considered just ordering a 100 foot spool of square chain? The beauty of having a spool of it is. It's not a PRO 026 so no adjustable oiler and it only has the low side adjustable carb. I may swap the carb out with a fully adjustable unit.
Kaching kaching wallet drop.No no no. Just skip both and go straight to a 066!
I had to do that once because a large chain grew up in the middle of a farm tree.@chipper1 next time, use the bucket as the wedge. Just shove it in the back cut and curl.
Thanks.Nice looking saw.
