Found my next yellow jacket nest when I was out grilling. Looks like they found a hole in the eaves of my summer kitchen. A bunch swarming around 1 spot. I'll get them in the morning.
Happy Birthday! Thanks for sharing the pix.Turned 71 today, so the wife and I went for a hike up Anthony's Nose. It is across the Hudson from Bear Mtn and has nice views. Had not been up there for a long while.
Also used my new cell phone today (to take pictures), still have not made any calls with it. It is a Motorola Edge 5G UW. A little large but seems good.
Congrats on 71! In front of me by a little bit. Nice pics, not sure my knees would allow that.Turned 71 today, so the wife and I went for a hike up Anthony's Nose. It is across the Hudson from Bear Mtn and has nice views. Had not been up there for a long while.

Do you have a link to that or can somebody get a screenshot of it?I was also looking through my hunting syllabus today and it became obvious that the Democrats are in charge of this State.
I see they have an early antlerless season scheduled for bear!
I suppose next year they will have a point restriction on Jackalope!
I scanned it for you.Do you have a link to that or can somebody get a screenshot of it?

Good to keep them in the family. Lot of memories to pass on. That second boat looks a little tippy. No keel? Still, it would a nice little back water duck boat. Kudos to your son for doing the hands on work. Not may kids know how to do things like that.Another great day of repairing stuff with my son. He had bought both of these oldies from his great aunt for bargain prices so we did new wood all around. (All of the “new” wood was scrounged wood.)View attachment 1102778View attachment 1102779View attachment 1102780View attachment 1102781View attachment 1102782View attachment 1102783View attachment 1102784
What do you think @Philbert? Maybe this one still has a little life left?
View attachment 1102785 I enjoy teaching him, hopefully he retains some of it.
I think it's more about them actually experiencing it rather than remembering how to do it. Once they've done some projects like that, it builds confidence that they can do it again or other projects, even if they don't remember everything.I enjoy teaching him, hopefully he retains some of it
The only thing smart about those cars is that it is a quick way to die.
Happy Birthday Mike. You got me beat by 10 months.Turned 71 today, so the wife and I went for a hike up Anthony's Nose. It is across the Hudson from Bear Mtn and has nice views. Had not been up there for a long while.

I have not sat in that one yet, but can imagine it would be a little bit tippy because it’s got a rounded bottom and it’s short. We did put a transom on it in case we want to use it with a motor, but I can imagine most of its life will be used for retrieving ducks from a beaver pond.Good to keep them in the family.
