Storm King viewed from a lower part of Breakneck Ridge (notice the road cut into it).
The second view is 9D going south with the RR tracks to the right. Across the river and further down you can see West Point. On the left and in the next picture is Bull Mtn (AKA Mt. Taurus).
The wife is sitting on some of the numerous granite steps going up the mountain (on the Ninham trail). I was joking with her that we should take the escalator!
thanks for the postcards! some nice scenery!! ~ ;)

I still think you may be just reposting pics of wheelbarrow loads out of your massive library. You're really sitting around in front of the tube drinking beer and eating Bon-Bons  . One day I'll catch you!
must be! can't imagine anyone always moving such heavy, over-loaded wb's of wood... in a wb! one-wheel at that!!!

when it comes to being overloaded, this is what workx for me...

Not sure which one of you gents had a saw holder on casters but I admired that one and finally got around to building one from leftover lumber from previous jobs. Pretty much cutoffs and warped stuff sitting in the basement. Still gotta do a bit more work…

Been a Coors Light man my entire “adult” life

I don't do Coors Light, but I like the full strength Coors in the stubby bottles.
i prefer Miller 16's in a tin!! but i don't drink it light, nor Bud light nor anything light, as a rule!!!

but when it comes to Coors... all bets off! i'll take a cold, refreshing Coors... anyway... tin, light or mug!

I hunted Dry Brook Ridge near Arkville/Margaretville years ago... never went back. The guys I encountered from the city were fond of Remington semi-auto .30--06s. It sounded like a battlefield opening day as they'd empty their guns at any deer they saw.... to no effect. Buck, doe, fawn... didn't matter. At lunch time opening day a guy wanted to buy ammo from me as he was out! Prior to that I thought the stories were exaggerated... if anything they were understated!
My Uncle's co-worker had a cabin up on Hubble Hill. We had to backpack everything (including water) up the hill from the road. My Uncle used to live up there, so we had permission to hunt several properties. But one by one folks moved, sold or died and it all disappeared, and I purchased my 50 acres in 1985. My Uncle took his last deer up there (a Spike Buck) the same year I took a doe (in one of the pictures).

Too bad he never got to see the new cabin; he would have liked it. Hunting with 4 of us in the old (12 X 20) cabin was very cramped!

It wasn’t that cramped! I was a teenager and those hunts are some of my fondest memories!! That was roughing it!! The new cabin is like a Holiday Inn! The new crowd that comes up don’t know how good they have it, you’ve spoiled them

Hank's spike is the one closest to him, my doe is to the right. That spike went way downhill, so we dragged it down to the road that went past the property below mine. Another property owner offered us a ride back (with the deer) in the back of his steak body truck (we were in the back with the deer). There was steep snow-covered hills and sharp drop offs ... I was more scared than any roller-coaster ride I'd ever been on!
