50 degree for the high on Saturday so we had out first of the season fire šŸ˜€.
back to 70s later this weekā€¦
I had my first fires of the season as well. It hasn't been super cold, but has been dropping down into the 40's at night. At this point in the season, having the wood stove going is still "quaint" and fun. Check in with me in February and I'm wading through 4' of snow to pull more wood out of the wood shed and I might have a different outlook lol.

They were rare as hen's teeth about 18 months ago, but Stihl LW bars have been in stock at the local places for most of this year. Luckily, I was able to somehow get all of mine even when they were hard to get. I really like the Stihl lwb, I've got a 25", 28" x2, 32", and a 36". As you can probably tell, I've got a thing for 28" bars, I've got a 3rd 28" lwb(Sugihara) that hangs on one of my Huskies. I'll probably add a 32" Sugi or Husky lwb to sit on the BB 372 and throw the 28" Sugi on the 365(after I make it find more power.)
Local place has so many Iā€™m tempted to swap out most of my old bars and sell them :p. contributing to the local economy.

If you don't have any light bars currently, I'd say do it. I'm a bit of a primadonna nowadays, but I won't even bother cutting with a standard bar anymore, unless it's on one of the little saws or my 881. People think I'm being funny when I jokingly call my 400 with the 28" lwb, my brushing saw, but I'm only half joking.:innocent:

Have a 28 on my 500. Exactly a pound lighter šŸ˜³. That's a bfd in my book.

G'day fellers,

I took a level trailer and ute load down to my parents in Melbourne on the weekend. Drove through the city about half an hour before the football grand final started, best run through Melbourne ever. Unloaded the wood during breaks in play.

This spot is behind the garage and the structure behind the corry at the end is the old rabbit hutch from when we were kids. Had a succession of bunnies, some lasted longer than others. Dad keeps his kinding dry in there now.

I'm running my first marathon on Sunday - the Western Sydney marathon. Starting to get a bit apprehensive about it but at least the weather looks ok. 9Ā°C - 23Ā°C or 49F - 73F but with a 7am start I should be about done by the time it gets to 20Ā°. Glad it wasn't today, it was 37Ā°C/99Ā°F :crazy2:

Been wanting to try one of those, how you like it so far.
Just got my new 84dlx063 last week, ordered it from our friend in Greece since I had 8 new husky 063 chains and I sold all my "25" 063 bars with saws. I had posted the deal on the chains on here a while ago and I was nearing the end of the new 24" chains I had here, so it was time. I saw a 24" lightweight stuhl bar for like 220 on ebay with one chain, I have about that into mine and the 8 chains .

Yea chipper I like it , itā€™s lighter than there previous LT bars. and the quality of the steel has always good ,

I looked at a used 7305 Cub Cadet a couple weeks back. Typical marketplace special that looked much better in the pictures than it did in person.
The 7305 is a really good compact tractor that in my opinion was underrated. I used a previous friend's 7305 to do some work around my house just before I bought my 7275. He had a backhoe on his machine. I tried to find a 7305 after using his. I couldn't find one that wasn't well used and abused.

Have you or your friend had issues with the rear pto clutch? One of my friends has one of those mid sized cub cadets. The rear pto clutch went out on it and he's said it's no longer available and a known issue. it's electronically actuated and the coil burns out. (Or something like that, I'm not 100% sure.) He bought a used one and it didn't last real long. He got another tractor and just uses his as a loader tractor now. It's a shame, it's a good little tractor.

The Twin Cities Marathon passes within a few hundred yards from my house. It was canceled this year, at the last moment, due to high heat (91Ā°F) on October 1 (!).

This is my 2016 ā€˜Finisherā€™ Jersey.

From a rummage sale at the church next door: only way Iā€™ll ever get one of these!

Good luck!

Philbert

I really liked the Stihl E bars in 24". They were not expensive, light and I found them to be pretty durable. Unfortunately, they are NLA, so I'm taking good care of the ones I have so they will be around for a while!
Me too, think I have two of the e bars yet, 050 so they wouldn't work with the chain deal. You know how it goes, saved a ton on the chains so I had to buy a new lightweight bar šŸ¤£, it's just like saving money burning wood lol.
