Is it that much of an improvement over the 362? IIRC they’re on the same chassis, 400 is just 67cc with a mag piston vs 59. Never ran one but I really want to
The mag piston keeps the weight close to the same, and the transfer ports have been significantly improved ... the porters LOVE this saw. If I didn't already have 2 ported 462s I'd probably have one, but I don't need any more saws. (Note: I did sell a ported 362 to get a ported 462, no regrets). I got both my 462s before the 400s came to market.

I'm impressed by many of the new Stihl saws, especially the 261, 400 and 462. Disappointed the 500 does not have clean air filter technology, so I'll just keep my ported hybrids. I prefer the M-Tronic versions of these saws.

Yes quad cab 8 ft bed . This load the overloads springs aren’t even engaged yet I just have Gabriel magnum gas shocks nothing special . 3500 with plow and towing package . I have the patch panels but never got around to doing it this year . View attachment 1135252
Chains all around!!!

Show them Minnesota boys how us Hudson Valley boys have to roll in the winter!!

Going up to Uncle Mustangs Camp for my Coyote Hunt, I regularly put them on the front!

I hear similar stories all the time... On the other side of the coin I know guys who lost their Adirondack camps in divorces. They had done such a good job convincing their wives that it was a valuable asset that the wife wanted it. She then found out it wasn't quite like that... the valve was more recreational than financial. I stayed at and hunted at one of the camps. It may have been off grid but it had hot and cold running water, wood stove, forced hot air heat, gas range, broadcast TV, grouse, turkey, white tails, black bear, and even moose. The guy who owned it was savoy and had added to the property over the years via tax foreclosure sales and other purchases. It had been logged years prior to him obtaining it and he put food plots and trail cams in at the log yards and kept the skid roads open for 4 wheeler access to his various elevated stands. Sadly his ex got it.
This was no cabin. It was a 3 bedroom house, a barn and large garage. There was a nice apple orchard and a dock down on the waterfront.

No wood lately to get done. The woods are way to wet to even think about going in them. Today I added 4.5 inches to the length of my tie rod guards on my Kioti. This will protect the rubbers from being torn in the future, I hope. I tried to get two different steel fabricators to bend the plate for me. They both said that they couldn't do it. I said screw it and bought some 1/8" by 1 1/4" x 36" flat stock. Using a big socket and my vise I was able to bend the plate to match my guards. It took 4 pieces to get what I needed.

My daughter is home from college. During dinner I mentioned that I was going to carry some firewood up from under the deck. I went to use the facilities and by the time I finished and got my boots on, most of this stack was completed. I carried a couple armloads for posterity.

Mike pretty much covered it. Mine is my go to saw most of the time. I'm expecting to see Stihl phase out the 362 soon.

Some people here go out of their way to burn cedar, because they really like the smell.
Some people have no sense of smell.....
She calls you late for supper?
Umm, bit more aggressive then that...

I'd you ever run them side by side, and had to decide which one to keep, I quite assure you the 400 would be staying.

I’ll see if I can convince my dealer to let me demo one for a day or two. Unfortunately nobody I know has a 400 so I can’t go to them
